What is Travel Protection?
Travel protection provides coverage for personal risks related to planned travel. Depending on the plan, it can protect against:
- Trip interruption or cancellation
- Lost, stolen, or damaged baggage
- Damage to accommodations or a rental car
- Sickness, accident, disability, or death while traveling
Note: Travel protection does not include long-term major medical coverage (such as for extended work assignments or deployments abroad).
Types of Travel Protection Plans
Each company offers its own selection of plans. Common options include:
- Individual plans for solo travelers
- Family plans for households traveling together
- Group plans for groups of 10 or more
Some providers even offer pet travel coverage.
Because plan details and pricing vary, it’s important to review benefits carefully before you buy.

As a travel professional, I can offer and facilitate travel protection through approved providers — but I’m not a licensed insurance agent.
Here’s what I can and cannot do:
I Can:

✅ Collect premiums and submit forms on your behalf
I Cannot:
🚫 Advise you on which plan to choose
🚫 Evaluate or compare your existing coverage
🚫 Answer technical questions about specific benefits, exclusions, or claim details
Important Reminders
- You are never required to purchase travel protection.
- If you decline coverage, I’ll ask you to sign a Travel Protection Waiver confirming you were offered protection and chose to opt out.
- Some benefits (such as coverage for pre-existing conditions and trip cancellation) are time-sensitive, often tied to your first trip deposit date.
